Prof. Vogel and his colleagues from Harvard University developed an antifouling coating, which could help clinicians to maintain a clear field of vision during endoscope procedures.

Prof. Vogel was part of an international and interdisciplinary team consisting of researchers from FAU and Harvard University to developed a transparent surface coating for an endoscope lens that could effortlessly repel blood and other fluids. Vogel declares: “The coating could soon lead to shorter and less risky endoscopy examinations, which are safer for the patients and more efficient for the clinicians.” More about this can be read here and here.
