MAP graduate Thomas Distler receives Best Master Thesis Award of the German Society for Biomaterials (DGBM)

Thomas Distler, who graduated from the FAU Elite Master program Advanced Materials and Processes (MAP), received this years’ prize for the Best Masters Thesis in Biomaterials, which is awarded annually by the German Society for Biomaterials (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Biomaterialien e.V., DGBM). The thesis with the title: “Vessel Bioplotting for Regenerative Approaches” was supervised by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Aldo R. Boccaccini (Head, Institute of Biomaterials) in collaboration with Dr. Rainer Detsch. The prize was awarded at the Annual Meeting of the DGBM, held in Braunschweig, Germany, on November 8-10, 2018, where Mr. Distler presented the key results of the project. Thomas is currently a doctoral candidate in the FAU Institute of Biomaterials working on multifunctional materials for regenerative medicine under supervision of Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini within the DFG funded SFB project ELAINE. We congratulate Thomas on this wonderful achievement!
