MAP students at the ENB get together in Munich

The weekend of the 11th and 12th of November was incredibly eventful for the MAP cohort 2023. The fresh batch headed to Munich to attend the get-together of the Elite Network of Bavaria (ENB). The event served as a platform for our students to meet fellow new students from member universities, distinguished alumni, and aspiring scientists.

The Audimax of TU Munich was filled with members from around the globe, gaining inspiration from the journeys of senior members and how the ENB has helped them achieve their goals. The gathering hosted speakers at the top of their respective fields, such as academia and industry, who leveraged the resources during their time as students here and made the most of it. The event also offered valuable conversations about career paths with Prof. Dr. Oliver Reiser, Head of the International Doctorate Program, University of Regensburg, and Mr. Arturo Buitrago Méndez, CEO of Knowron GmbH.

The 2023 MAP cohort felt inspired and motivated to take on the coming challenges and fully use this network. “The event provided a platform for us to engage in enriching conversations and learn from the experiences of our esteemed alumni,” says Lakshya Raj Singh Shekhawat, a fellow member of the 2023 MAP batch.

The event showcases many things to look forward to. It captured the intrigue of the new batch, as said by Tzu-Ling Su, another student of the 2023 MAP batch, “Events like the EuroScience Open Forum or Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting, attended by alumni, have piqued my interest, and I aspire to participate in such impactful gatherings in the future.”
Aside from the ENB event, the students indulged in the sights of Munich, such as the Olympic Park, the BMW Museum and the historic city center. The accommodation generously organized by the MAP Office in a hostel in the center of Munich enabled the students to tailor their trip and enjoy Munich´s nightlife after the event.
